10 Awesome Wrestling Title Reigns That Went Long

9. Trish Stratus - WWE Women's Title (448 Days)

Considered WWE's female Ric Flair in the era before the NXT women changed the industry as we know it, Trish Stratus' sixth reign with the title became representative of her status as the greatest female talent Vince McMahon had ever promoted.

Clocking up 176 days in her fifth run, this second marathon stretch highlighted how far above the rest she was as WWE's total package.

Asuka-esque in her complete and total ownership of the WWE women's division at the time, Trish actually suffered an injury during the run and yet the company felt zero motivation to strip her of the title.

Though a brilliantly-rounded heel when first shelved with the injury, her return was so hotly anticipated that she was immediately turned babyface, and she continued to defend the title against a stream of John Laurinaitis' indifferent crop of 'athletic tens' that polluted the Divas division of the time.

It was satisfying then, that she would eventually lose the title on the grand stage of WrestleMania 22 to Mickie James, her most respectable opponent in some time, and do so as a key chapter of their engaging stalker storyline that kicked off in late-2005.
