10 Awesome Wrestling Title Reigns That Went Long

Similar to the Gregory Helms Cruiserweight Title run, London & Kendrick's epic spell with the SmackDown-only WWE Tag Titles was partly by accident, but yielded an astonishingly consistent collection of matches over 11 months with the titles.

Often facing off with makeshift pairings, victory was generally assured for the champions in their TV and pay-per-view offerings, but it was just a credit to see the heated contests assembled from the broad range of opponents plucked from the lowest reaches of SmackDown's undercard.

First defeating MNM, the two were stuck with lost souls such as KC James & Idol Stevens (Damien Sandow), Jamie Noble & Kid Kash's dated 'Pit Bulls' combo, and the entertaining-but-past-it William Regal and Dave Taylor unit.

Despite the impressive reign, the two were inexcusably left off that year's WrestleMania card, and would drop the belts with little fanfare to SmackDown newcomers Deuce 'n Domino shortly after the snub.

A draft to Raw later in the year gifted them the infamous moment of saving Triple H from a heel beatdown and receiving Pedigrees as a thank you for their services.

Both would go on record discussing their significant backstage disagreements with company higher-ups, but despite this maltreatment, their title record was only broken this year as New Day continued their unlikely path to immortality.
