10 Awesome WWE Tag Teams Formed By Main Eventers
1. The Brothers Of Destruction
For over quarter of a century, The Undertaker has been the most feared entity within WWE, running over most of his opponents while scaring the cr*p out of children in the audience. In the late 1990s – in order to provide a plausible threat to the Phenom – the WWF introduced the Undertaker's (storyline) baby brother, Kane, at Badd Blood: In Your House. Although the two paranormal giants found themselves at odds to begin with – often feuding and contesting the WWF championship along with Stone Cold Steve Austin – Kane and The Undertaker soon realised they would prove to be a far more devastating force if they worked together.
At SummerSlam '98, Kane – teaming with Mankind at the time – abandoned a tag team match against the New Age Outlaws to assist his brother, thus officially becoming known as The Brothers of Destruction. While this association would be short-lived – following 'Taker’s betrayal of Kane two months later – The Brothers of Destruction would reform in 2001 to go on a longer and far more dominant run to become the first tag team to hold both the WWF and WCW tag team titles at the same time.
The Brothers of Destruction would split again following the conclusion of the invasion storyline but would team up again multiple times in the years following, with each occasion drawing a huge pop from the crowd, at the sight of the two imposing silhouettes slowly making their way down the entrance ramp.
