10 Awful Moves Talented Wrestlers Need To Stop Using

6. Edge - Spear

A spear is probably the most overused finisher in the game of professional wrestling. Every wrestling promotion probably has one person who does a spear. It is an effective move, simply overused.

A man who has become renowned for his spear is the Rated-R Superstar Edge. During the 2000s (post Goldberg) Edge made the spear finishing move his own and sadly...it wasn't as good as Bill Goldberg's.

Edge's spear lacks impact. It looks as though he is pushing his opponent to the ground for a cuddle rather than ripping them in half like Goldberg, Roman Reigns or Bobby Lashley's spears do. What makes this even more frustrating is the other moves that Edge has in his repertoire. The EDGECUTION is a great finisher or even his short lived submission move the EDGECATOR.

Edge's return was the perfect opportunity for the star to reinvent himself and debut a new finisher. Sadly, we didn't get this and Edge's spear remains the weakest in WWE.
