10 Awful Wrestlers Pushed As WWE Main Eventers

5. Ryback

Ryback has undoubtedly improved as a wrestler somewhat in the last couple of years, but he initially earned himself a reputation as one of the worst and most unsafe workers in the wrestling industry. He legitimately hurt several opponents during his early matches but, in spite of that fact, he was put at the top of the card and was presented as a major threat to the entire WWE roster. Having previously been Skip Sheffield, Ryan Reeves injured himself and returned as the new character of Ryback in April of 2012. Initially, he would dismantle jobbers - sometimes two at a time - but went on to beat guys like the Miz and rival CM Punk for the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell. He has remained a major threat to the upper-carders in the company ever since and is still on its books today and, while he has improved, he still isn't the best in-ring performer.
