8. Dustin Rhodes & Terri Runnels

Goldust and Marlena were one of the power couples in 1990's WWF, and were a huge part of the company moving into the Attitude Era, with their controversial sexual antics and envelope pushing interactions. In real life, Dustin and Terri Runnels were married and raising a young daughter. As is the case with many romantic relationships in the world of wrestling, they simply could not make it last. They had been going through a long rocky stage before finally getting divorced in 1999. Dustin would spend the first half of 1999 as a member of the WWF roster, and even though he wasn't being managed by Terri anymore, he still had to spend time with her at their workplace. Their marriage was rapidly disintegrating, largely in part to Terri feeling that Dustin's father, Hall Of Famer Dusty Rhodes, was spreading rumors about her infidelity and other stories she claims were lies. It's bad enough to be in a relationship that is starting to fall apart, and it's something else when that relationship has produced a young child, but it's another thing altogether when the husband's father is actively helping to push things into destruction.
