10 Backstage Wrestling Rivalries You Won't Believe

6. Oh My God!

Joey Styles Jbl There was a time when JBL, once known as Bradshaw, was considered one of the toughest men on the WWF/WWE roster. In fact, there are several sources which would attest that the man used to be quite the locker room bully, never missing an opportunity to assert his seniority in the WWE system on newcomers. During WWE's routine Tribute To The Troops tour in 2008, former ECW announcer Joey Styles was on the receiving end of some rough treatment from JBL, who even spilled a drink on the man deliberately at one point. Having enough of the verbal jibes and bullying, Styles surprised Layfield with a punch, one which knocked the big man off his feet. Viewed as a hero afterwards, Styles was only worried about losing his job. It's possible that both men have put the incident behind them since, but being knocked out by the diminutive commentator must have been one occasion where JBL had to swallow his pride and admit defeat.
