10 Backstage Wrestling Rivalries You Won't Believe
5. WCW Heat Spills Over Into WWE
Mentioned earlier in this list as a witness to the epic Khali vs. Big Show brawl, Chris Jericho has had an altercation or two of his own during his time in pro wrestling. Brash and outspoken, Y2J seemingly isn't someone who will let himself be bullied, or even intimidated by larger guys. Towards the end of his run in WCW, Jericho had pitched a storyline which would see him feud with Goldberg, and was pretty shocked to hear that the main eventer wasn't interested in working with him. Hearing through the grapevine that Goldberg felt he was too small, Jericho was livid, and would hold the grudge for years. When Goldberg eventually made his way over to WWE, Jericho again proposed working with him, only to met with the same disinterest. Feeling he had more than proved himself in a company Goldberg was now new to, YJ2 confronted his rival, in a verbal confrontation which led to a fight. Even though he's repeatedly said that the score is "Jericho 1, Goldberg 0", the Canadian star claims there will never be a rematch, and counts himself lucky that he came out of the fight relatively unscathed!
