10 Bands Synonomous With WWE
2. Limp Bizkit
You knew they were going to be on this list and their ascent to the top has been halted at a more than respectable second place. Fred Durst and his band-mates are the epitome of post Attitude Era... attitude - for lack of a better word.
Bands like Papa Roach and Linkin Park were becoming staples of the radio playlist and WWE reacted to this trend. To older fans it may seem like Limp Bizkit were a flash in the pan band but their success was far more extensive than people give them credit for. Indeed, the popular adage of "People aren't mad at Limp Bizkit, they are mad at themselves for once liking Limp Bizkit" couldn't be more true.
The band provided two WrestleMania themes with My Way being the soundtrack to the most critically praised event of all time as well as Crack Addict being used for WrestleMania XXIX. The band's hugely successful song Rollin' even acted as The Undertakers entrance theme for a number of years, and the group performed the song live at WrestleMania XXIX. As well as giving WrestleManias their themes and providing legends with entrance songs, Limp Bizkit also provided Build a Bridge for Survivor Series 2003.
Outside of the world of music, Limp Bizkit have been featured in the crowds at countless events over the years with Fred Durst even flipping the bird to the camera at a recent SummerSlam. It would seem this rebellious act from a man in his mid 40s acted as the final nail in the WWE-Bizkit coffin and few see the band being used again. Strangely enough Durst has also appeared in several WWE video games as an unlockable character.
