Shawn Michaels' Sweet Chin Music holds the distinction of being both one of the best finishing moves of all-time and perhaps the one whose secret is easiest for wrestling fans to figure out.

He basically just slapped his thigh as he threw out his leg to make it sound as though the impact of his foot on his opponent's jaw was much greater than it actually was. It was simple, but really effective, especially on television.

One problem it did pose, however (and still does, for any copy-cats like Dolph Ziggler) is that any chin-kick-related botches ended up looking even more ridiculous than usual, since you could hear the associated noise without seeing any actual contact.

Still, what was the alternative? Actually kicking someone square in the face every time HBK needed to end a match? They would have gone through hundreds of wrestlers a year, and his foot would probably start to hurt too.
