One of wrestling's great mysteries, at least to anyone not acquainted with the inner workings of the industry, is how a pair of opponents are somehow always able to know what each other are thinking.

Sometimes, as Botchamania has frequently shown us, the explanation is as simple as them actually telling each other verbally. John Cena has become famous (or perhaps infamous) for how many times he's been caught on camera calling a spot in the ring.

But there are other, more subtle ways to go about this. If a wrestler is planning on wriggling out of a suplex or a backdrop, for instance, they might throw an arm up in the air. Similarly, if they want their opponent to reverse an Irish whip, they may squeeze their hand particularly tightly in the set up.

Luckily, while we know the vague details around this kind of thing thanks to amateur wrestlers spilling the beans online, it's still pretty difficult to spot for yourself while watching WWE, especially since not everyone will use exactly the same tells.
