Keith Lee's first few main roster cameo appearances hinted at one hell of a future for the titanic hero.

However, by the time the 'Limitless' star was released in November 2021, Lee simply ended up becoming yet another name to add to the list of stars WWE somehow fumbled after a promising beginning.

Though not exactly helped by a life-threatening spell on the sidelines a few months after officially being called up to Monday Night Raw, the company still had the opportunity to reintroduce the mountain of charisma as a genuine new threat at the top of the card.

Instead, when he did finally make his long-awaited return to television after a scary few months off dealing with inflammation of the heart, Lee was fed to WWE Champion Bobby Lashley before soon transitioning into the role of 'Bearcat.'

This bland gimmick, along with being a tribute to legendary wrestler Bearcat Wright, pretty much consisted of Lee suddenly being a bit more aggressive and boasting a few claw marks on his gear. And it wasn't even really explained why this rather charming ball of positivity had just strangely decided to become a merciless wrecking machine.

Said odd change-up only last a few months before the fan favourite was let go, of course. And the former NXT Champion was soon free to return to his tried-and-tested inspirational ways under the AEW banner instead.
