Becky Lynch is Irish.

And what are Irish people known for doing? That's right, jigging their way into whatever room they're heading into!

That was seemingly a conversation that went down during the creation of the future Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion's first-ever WWE character back before she made her NXT debut in June 2014.

Despite spending years on the independent scene proving she was one of the most exciting talents in the business as 'Rebecca Knox', the folks calling the shot on the black and gold brand quickly reduced the passionate worker to 'Riverdancer decked out in emerald.'

But determined to make this lazy and rather embarrassing material work, Lynch still somehow found a way to add some charm to this unquestionably ridiculous dancing character.

It thankfully wasn't too long before someone realised that Lynch had a little more to offer, though, and this cartoonish stereotype was ultimately scrapped in favour of a slightly less cringey rocker character.

From there on out, fans gradually began to get behind 'The Lasskicker.' And that same woman who first leaped onto the scene dressed like a human shamrock eventually managed to remarkably ride that unrivalled popularity all the way to the main event of 'The Show of Shows.'
