3. Worst - Matt Riddle
Matt Riddle has a brilliant gimmick and phenomenal wrestling ability. Yet, the simple act of not using footwear rubs a lot of fans the wrong way, as it is a surprisingly distracting element of his outfit.
The flip flop throw at the beginning of his entrances is incredibly amusing, and the more streamlined approach to a costume feels like a reference to his time with UFC and efficiently displays his tall frame. But the entire look lacks a sense of flair that helps to make wrestlers feel like real-life superheroes.
Choosing to stick only to trunks with no shoes, pads or accessories makes the costume totally unappealing as it relies entirely on the trunk design, which in the case of Riddle has never been interesting enough to inspire.
The colour choices have always been decent, and the addition of a hat and jacket on the way to the ring adds a little flavour to his gear, but overall it gives you very little and as such is one of the worst outfit designs in the company.
