In a moment that many assumed would happen on Pay-Per-View (if it happened at all), Kane removed his famous mask for the first time ever on an episode of Raw in June 2003.

Following Kane's loss to Triple H in a mask vs championship match the crowd in MSG that night were the first to gaze upon the demon's face in the flesh - unless you count the thousands of people who'd already seen Glenn Jacobs as Isaac Yankem or Fake Diesel.

After years of being told that Kane was covered head-to-toe in horrible scars, viewers were a bit underwhelmed when they saw his face was just a little dirty and that the most scarring thing about him was that haircut. It was a bit of a dud, truth be told, but the moment itself is still hugely significant.

Kane was one of the most popular characters in WWE and his true identity had been obscured for the best part of six years by the time the mask came off. It may not have been the big reveal that many fans had hoped for, but Kane's unmasking is still one of the most famous and important moments in WWE's recent history.
