Wrestling fans didn't have to wait long for WWE to put on an all-time great Garden match in the 21st Century, as they were treated to one of the best and most fondly-remembered bouts in wrestling history just 23 days into it.

Royal Rumble 2000 was the first Rumble event held in MSG and played host to an epic WWF Championship Street Fight between Triple H and Cactus Jack. The two men were embroiled in a bitter rivalry that forced Mick Foley to go to his darkest place and call upon the spirit of Jack for a all-out war with The Game.

The match needs to be seen to be truly appreciated, but it is chock-full of iconic spots, beats, and moments. From The Rock's interference to a barbed-wire 2x4 to an awe-inspiring (and stomach-turning) Pedigree onto a pile of thumbtacks, this match has it all and is still held in the highest regard over two decades later.

This match would have been a classic anywhere, but the fact that it took place in wrestling's most iconic arena certainly helped things. WWE will need to go some way if they ever want to top this showing in Madison Square Garden.
