10 Best Active Wrestlers Who Will Never Be World Champion

4. Cesaro

Ricochet WWE Intercontinental Title

"World Champion Cesaro" is a phrase many fans in WWE have coveted for some time. Cesaro had some single success while in the company as he won the United States Championship, battled for the Intercontinental Title on numerous occasions, as well he had an incredible James Bond-esque entrance. Cesaro has always been a reliable worker and had fan backing, but has never quite been able to crack World Title status.

The closest The Swiss Superman would come to the World Title was after his win against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 37. Following what was a great match, and a huge win for Cesaro, it even seemed like Cesaro may actually get the push to the World Title that fans had always wanted. However, for Cesaro this would result in one match at Wrestlemania Backlash where he would lose in a 27 minute banger match against The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. What’s more, a few months later Cesaro, would be outright released from his contract.

Now that Cesaro is over the age of 40 and has left WWE altogether, it is safe to say that this is as close as it will ever get. Cesaro can certainly still go and will definitely have success in whatever promotion he lands in, but unfortunately, it seems as though “The Big One” will always be out of reach for The Swiss Superman.

The Iron Sheik once said, "DON'T BE A F****** JABRONI!" That advice changed my life, as I am in fact now standing here as definitely not a jabroni. Thanks for reading my stuff! #HTX Matthew 11:28
