Kevin Nash was nearly on his way out of the WWF by the time WrestleMania 12 came around. He had been offered a huge guaranteed contract from WCW, and was getting ready to cash in. However, Vince McMahon wanted him to put over a few wrestlers before leaving, to which Nash agreed to. One of those names was The Undertaker.

Now, with Nash nearly done, you might have expected him to half-ass the match, even if it was at the biggest show of the year. That couldn’t be further from the truth. It seems that he wanted to put in a good showing on the way out, perhaps as a favor to Taker and Vince. Both men worked hard, which resulted in Diesel having one of the best outings in his entire WWF run. As soon as the bell rang the two went at it and rarely let up. You can't say that for the majority of Nash's future matches.

Eventually, Big Daddy Cool’s cockiness cost him big. He took his time after Jackknife Powerbombing Undertaker, and didn’t bother going for the pin. His arrogance gave his opponent enough time to get back into things, and a Tombstone Piledriver quickly ended Diesel's hopes of leaving the promotion on top. All in all, it was a surprisingly satisfying clash of the titans.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
