2020 has been so long that Drew McIntyre's twin Royal Rumble and WWE Title wins feel like they could've happened last year. They didn't though - they happened in January and April respectively, and they were well-earned moments for a guy who had rebuilt his shattered career brick by brick.

WWE has stuck by McIntyre when it might've been easy to discard him so they had some shiny new toys mid-pandemic to keep fans interested. Instead of shunting him back down the card though, the company cleverly interrupted his title reign with Randy Orton and then put the belt back on big Drew so he could continue on as Raw's top dog.

If there's any justice in this world, then McIntyre will get to perform as WWE Champion in front of a sold out audience before he drops the title again. That thunderous pop at the Rumble, his very-real emotion at 'Mania and his physically-rugged, relentless match style deserves that.

So do his fans.
