10 Best Candidates To Supplant Seth Rollins As WWE Champion

6. John Cena

In 2015, John Cena has been kept away from the WWE World Heavyweight Title picture, something which has shown itself to be a smart move from those in charge. Cena has already held the belt more than anyone else on the roster, so there's no real need for him to constantly be involved in the title picture, but that doesn't mean he won't be again. By holding the United States Championship, the franchise player in WWE has admittedly helped that belt gain some credence. Beforehand, it was simply a prop, passed around from wrestler to wrestler without any real care. Over the shoulder of John Cena, it means a little more, something evidenced by the response to his 'US Open Challenge' segments on Monday Night Raw. It seems only a matter of time before Cena is itching to get back in the main event scene however, but just how would WWE play it out? It's unlikely that Cena would outright turn heel, something which has been discussed to death, but would a babyface Seth Rollins be strong enough to combat his character? Only time would tell, but Cena belongs on any list exploring possible future champions, given his history and WWE's reliability on him.
