WWE’s relationship with reality television has been a long-term one. From creating their own shows such as Tough Enough, Total Bellas, and more, to bringing in stars from other shows to guest host Raw or get involved in an angle. Whereas most reality stars didn’t get too heavily involved, this particular one did - and by doing so defied many critics.

One of the most controversial reality stars of that moment was Snooki, AKA Nicole Polizzi, star of the hit MTV show Jersey Shore. Teaming with Trish Stratus and John Morrison on the night of WrestleMania 27, the Jersey Shore star faced off against LayCool and Dolph Ziggler in what has been labelled as one of the worst matches in WrestleMania history.

It wasn’t for the want of trying though, Morrison hit his customary acrobatic offence, Ziggler was class throughout and despite being pretty much boo’d out of the Georgia Dome, Snooki managed to silence her critics with amongst other moves, an impressive handspring elbow.
