The WWF was in an interesting state in March 2001.

Stone Cold was WWF Champion after turning heel at WrestleMania X-Seven and siding with Vince McMahon. He also had Triple H by his side, in a team that was colloquially known as "The Two Man Power Trip".

The Game would capture the Intercontinental Championship from Chris Jericho, giving both members of the Power Trip gold. However, they wanted even more.

This led to the "Winner Takes All" main event of Backlash - The Power Trip vs. World Tag Team champions, Kane and The Undertaker, with everything on the line.

This was a stacked WWE main event on paper and it lived up to the hype, with all four men putting in a great performance.

The Brothers of Destruction came up short when Triple H took out Kane with a sledgehammer to pick up the win. This meant that all the men's gold in WWF now belonged to just two men.

The match was executed to perfection and really helped cement both Austin and The Game as top level heels. Their run was unfortunately cut short due to Triple H tearing his quad, but just imagine what could have come of a lengthy Power Trip reign.
