Further reinforcing just how well-liked AJ was amongst this
Brooklyn crowd, we heard one of the most raucous renditions of the Yes! chant
break out when AJ kicked out of an Attitude Adjustment from the second rope.
Half out of relief at AJ’s survival, half out of disbelief of Cena’s inability to win, this was one of the noisiest chants to feature on this list.
As well as demonstrating AJ’s popularity, it also showed us just how well these two had managed to draw the audience into the action and get them immersed in the match itself. The Yes! chant is usually reserved for promo segments or when the crowd is directly asked a question, so for them to burst into it of their own volition is a testament to the emotion that was invested into this contest.
The chant also made a second appearance later in the night when Jon Stewart was about to be diagnosed with a case of ringpostitis. A little harsh, but that wasn’t the worst thing that Stewart would hear from the feisty Brooklyn crowd...
