10 Best Cruiserweight Wrestlers In The World Today

3. Kenny Omega

When AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows were announced as leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling, the company was immediately forced to elevate new stars in their stead. The first salvo in the new talent restructuring came at New Year Dash, when Bullet Club member Kenny Omega turned on faction leader AJ Styles, ousting him from the group and taking his position. Omega had already gained a reputation as one of the best cruiserweights in the world, but stepping up to fill a main event heavyweight role was uncharted territory. Nevertheless, he defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi to claim the vacant IWGP Intercontinental Title in a classic match, proving that he could be a major player in the world's best wrestling organization. Still, Kenny Omega qualifies for the list, and his incredible style hasn't changed - he's athletic and acrobatic, but what sets him apart from many other junior heavyweight wrestlers is his incredible pound-for-pound strength and his charisma in the ring. He's not only an excellent worker, but he's a unique one, ensuring his long-term success.
