10 Best ECW PPVs You Need To Watch On The Network

1. Heatwave 1998

WWEWWEThe Card:Spike Dudley, The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer vs. The Dudleys (Big Dick Dudley, Buh Buh Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley) (w/Jeff Jones, Joel Gertner & Sign Guy Dudley)FTW Heavyweight Title: Taz (c) vs. Bam Bam BigelowECW World Tag Team Titles: Rob Van Dam & Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso) (c) vs. Hayabusa & Jinsei ShinzakMasato Tanaka vs. Mike AwesomeChris Candido (w/Tammy Lynn Sytch) vs. Lance StormJerry Lynn vs. Justin Credible (w/Chastity, Jason & Nicole Bass) Considered far and away the greatest ECW PPV of all time, Heatwave 1998 has the moment ECW went from struggling to put on consistently good PPV's to knocking it out of the park on a regular basis. The big tag main event was an orgy of violence and destruction and everything ECW stood for. Elsewhere, Tanaka and Awesome impressed with another chapter of their career long war with one another, and the ECW World Tag Titles were defended by RVD and Sabu in a spectacular manner (the spot pictured above is still used in any ECW signatures to this day.) In typical ECW manner, the undercard was exactly the solid mix of wrestling and hardcore action you'd come to expect from ECW and there wasn't a single bad match all night. Inspiring stuff.
