WWE.comAt the end of the year 2000, ECW's back was against the wall. They were off of national television and their syndication (repeats for all your non-Americans) was completely off schedule, leaving the company with a very poor level of regular exposure. To counter it, they produced this card packed full of very gimmicky and over the top matches, clearly designed to pull in as many newcomers as possible. Highlights of the night include the blow off to a classic tag team break up feud between Nova and Chris Chetti, as well as the surprisingly entertaining main event which boasts a fantastic performance for an improving Steve Corino. The event reflected their need to push new guys like Corino by doing what they did best, OTT impactful wrestling. although it was probably a step in the right direction, at this point it may have already been too late.
