8. Guilty As Charged 2001
WWEECW's final PPV as an independent promotion, Heyman had to promise something big to the ECW faithful to make up for the fact that ECW no longer had any sort of television presence to promote themselves. The surprise ended up being a returning Rob Van Damn, who had left after a dispute over payment. The main event was quickly changed, with Van Dam taking on Jerry Lynn one last time to settle their epic feud. Elsewhere, the I Quit match between Anderson and Dreamer showcased why Dreamer's never say die babyface character works as opposed to one like John Cena's, and the three way tag match was several minutes of crazed fun. The disorganisation in the company was apparent by this point, but that's part of what makes this PPV work.
