8. Hulk Hogan Passes The Torch To Ultimate Warrior - Wrestlemania VI

In 1990, Hulkamania was officially running out of steam. Hogan had been on top of the promotion for nearly 7 years and the WWF's business had been steadily declining for a period of time. Hogan was also looking to move to the world of acting, going on to star in such Oscar-caliber movies as No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, and Mr. Nanny. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Warrior had been rapidly moving up the card. His popularity grew so quickly that he was competing for the top babyface spot with the legendary Hogan. His crowd support was certainly large and a confrontation with Hogan at the Royal Rumble only cemented his status as a main event player. For his first Wrestlemania outside of the United States, Vince McMahon decided to put on the very first babyface vs. babyface main event at the show. The Toronto Sky Dome would see world champion Hulk Hogan take on Intercontinental champion Ultimate Warrior in a huge main event. The crowd was split right down the middle for most of the match, cheering both men. Hogan did a masterful job of carrying the Warrior to a great match and it was one of the first times where you truly did not know who was going to win. In the end, Hulk Hogan missed his legdrop and the Warrior delivered a splash to become one of the few in WWE history to hold both the IC and world titles at the same time. In a great moment, Hogan went into the center of the ring and presented the world title to the Ultimate Warrior, putting Warrior over huge as the new centerpiece of the company. While Warrior did not have a successful title run, Hogan's willingness to put Warrior over clean in the middle of the ring and then endorse him provided a great moment for fans.
