SummerSlam '92 emanated from the old Wembley Stadium in London, England and drew an alleged crowd of over 80,000 people.

Such a big night needed a big time main event and boy howdy did we get one.

Bret Hart defending his Intercontinental Championship against his brother-in-law The British Bulldog. Whilst the Manchester-native might not have been in his home town, he was still treated like a hero by the English fans when he stepped between the ropes.

Little did they know that he was completely unfit to do so. Bulldog struggled with substance abuse throughout his life and turned up on this night in no shape to perform. Thankfully, he was wrestling Bret Hart, who could pull a good match out of a cat with three legs.

Bret carried Bulldog to a legendary match, arguably the greatest performance of Davey Boy Smith's life. The match ended in the only way it could have - with Bulldog pinning Hart to win the title to a biblical ovation.

SummerSlam 1992 is a truly legendary show and that's largely because of this match. It was the right match with the right people at the right time. In short - it doesn't get much better than this.
