Perhaps the best measure of how well-established a member of the main roster Kevin Owens has become since his NXT call-up in mid-2015 is that he was last year entrusted to crack skulls with Vince McMahon.

KO seems over recent months to have reached that sweet spot whereby he is able to command a leading role in the WWE product without necessarily being wedded to one of its world titles. He's simply a brilliant screen presence who guarantees entertainment every time he steps in the ring.

That's been the case pretty much since day one too. The Prizefighter first caught the attention of mainstream audiences in May 2015, answering John Cena's US Title open challenge on Raw whilst he was still in possession of the NXT belt.

Within about a year, he had swapped the developmental arm's biggest prize for that of Monday Night Raw, capturing the Universal Championship with a helping hand from Triple H, and carrying it all the way to Fastlane 2017.
