7. Vs. The Undertaker (Badd Blood: In Your House, 1997)
Not many match pairings have produced three bona-fide classics, but Shawn Michaels and Undertaker managed just that feat.
The first of them - also the first ever Hell in a Cell - took place at an In Your House event way back in 1997. It was notable for the debut of Kane and an unseemly amount of blood - mostly spilled from the cranium of the Heartbreak Kid, who spent the better part of the match being lobbed into the unforgiving steel by the Deadman.
It's commonly agreed that interferences tend to adversely affect a match's rating, but here the intervention of the Big Red Machine seemed to enhance the occasion.
It just made perfect sense this time, since there was no other way Shawn was walking out as champion without a helping hand, and the company had been dropping hints about 'Taker's estranged brother for some time.
