10 Best Ever TNA Knockouts
The best women to ever compete in the six-sided ring.
TNA’s women’s division has had an interesting, but troubled journey.
The first women’s match the company ever aired was a Lingerie Battle Royal at their second ever weekly pay-per-view. It was composed largely of former WCW and ECW competitors ripping pajamas off each other to reveal their underwear. It was a sleazy way to start. To make things worse, those early episodes featured women dancing in cages for no apparent reason, and the company was named “TNA” after all, so we probably shouldn’t have expected much better.
But eventually, things did get better, and actually got to be really good. Under the guidance of Dutch Mantell, a host of talented women wrestlers were brought in from around the world, forming the Knockouts Division. It absolutely blew away what WWE was doing with the Divas, as we were watching lengthy matches from talented athletes, not models stumbling around in the ring for two minutes at a time. Unfortunately, when Mantell was let go, the division began to crumble once more.
Currently, we’re watching a very lukewarm Knockouts Division, which is sad, as WWE is now leading the way for women’s wrestling. Hopefully TNA can make a rebound, as they’ve had quite a few great wrestlers under contract along the way.
This list of greatest Knockouts ranks the women based on their in-ring ability, their popularity and their overall characters. Let's quickly give honorable mentions to Hamada, Winter and Alissa Flash who all likely would have made this list had they been employed longer, and Traci Brooks, who while not a great wrestler, had the longevity in the company that few others have ever had.
With that out of the way, here are the the top 10 Knockouts in the company’s history.
