Velvet Sky was never much of an in-ring technician. To be honest, she never really got that much better in her career in TNA. But there’s no doubt that she was one of the most popular Knockouts the company has ever had.

Sky started with the promotion in 2007 using the name Talia Madison. She shortly morphed into Velvet Sky, and began believing she was one of the two most beautiful women in wrestling. Teaming up with Angelina Love, they formed the backbone of The Beautiful People. Other members joined the group, but without that initial chemistry between Love and Sky, they wouldn’t have went anywhere.

Later on Sky became a two time Knockouts Champion, was paired up with Chris Sabin and reformed The Beautiful People. She was let go from the company multiple times, but always came back to great crowd support. Currently, she’s gone again, but may return yet again to make the world a more beautiful place.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
