It's pretty ironic that what started as a last-minute solution to The Undertaker's injury ended up producing the best feud of the Ruthless Aggression era, but that was indeed the case in 2007.

Edge stole Mr. Kennedy's Money In The Bank briefcase on Raw, cashed it in on SmackDown and stole the World Heavyweight Championship from an injured Undertaker, kicking off a legendary rivalry that would pick up again later in the year and carry into the following summer.

What worked so well about Edge and The Undertaker's rivalry was that the Ultimate Opportunist was portrayed in such a strong way throughout that it actually seemed like he had 'Taker's number. And as his continued attempts to one-up The Deadman was an excellent set up to their first one-on-one showdown at WrestleMania 24, it seemed like 'Taker's Streak was in legitimate jeopardy.

The best, however, was yet to come as 'Taker's justice and World Title win kicked off a series of absolutely cracking PPV matches before The Demon of Death Valley finally silenced his long-time rival inside Hell In A Cell at SummerSlam.

Long-term storytelling at its finest, the feud survived title changes, decisive victories and even multiple injuries from both men, defining that period of time in both of their careers.
