10 Best Kurt Angle Matches Since He Left WWE

6. Angle Vs. Ken Anderson - Lockdown 2010

TNA was in a weird spot by the time Lockdown 2010 came around. The company was a few months into the disastrous Hulk Hogan experiment, and decided to ditch their six-sided ring in a dumpster. This made a four-sided steel cage match on the show a bit of an odd sight.

Mr. Anderson had recently joined the company as well, and needed a top name to feud with to regain some of the momentum he’d lost in his last few months in WWE. Angle was the perfect opponent for him to prove that he could still be a main-event worker.

Once the bell rang, the two beat the hell out of each other and bled heavily. Angle also decided to bust out his always incredibly dangerous top of the cage moonsault. He gave his opponent a lot of punishment and walked away with the win, but due to Anderson refusing to give up and take everything he was dealt, he came across as a badass.

It remains Anderson’s best work in the company, and another in a long line of matches that Angle can take a lot of pride in.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
