Brock Lesnar again?

Oh yes, but only because it'd be tragic to miss out what he and Kurt Angle achieved on the 18 September 2003 edition of SmackDown. Just one month after a SummerSlam match that failed to hit all the high notes their previously-prized WrestleMania XIX headliner had, Kurt and Brocky boy put things right in an 'Iron Man' beaut.

Now, if you happen to think the hour-long gimmick is a 60-minute snorefest that only gets exciting towards the end, this probably won't change your mind. Go into it with an open mind though and you'll see why this is cherished as one of the best matches in blue brand history. In fact, it's one of the best WWE TV matches of all time period.

Angle and Lesnar only got stronger as the timer crept down to the final 15 minutes or so, and it's a credit to their brilliance that Vince McMahon was willing to try an experiment like this on free television. It's success might be indirectly responsible for all those Gauntlets we've been seeing lately.
