WWE.comThis was an eight-man ladder match featuring high flyers like Shelton Benjamin and Kofi Kingston, technical wrestlers and ladder match veterans like Christian, CM Punk and MVP, a brawler in Finlay, and two big men in Kane and Mark Henry. Unlike the WrestleMania 22 ladder match, the differing styles ended up complementing each other nicely. One of the coolest spots of the match featured Mark Henry holding a broken ladder, and Kofi Kingston then scurrying up the ladder to try and get the briefcase. Shockingly, CM Punk won the ladder match for the second year in a row, which was pretty unexpected. Punk would cash in a couple months later and begin a much-needed and well-executed heel turn.
