9 Best Ladder Matches In Wrestlemania History

5. Money In The Bank Ladder Match - WrestleMania 21

WWE.com
The original Money in the Bank Ladder match, created by Chris Jericho, was Raw-only, featuring Jericho, Christian, Kane, Edge, Chris Benoit, and Shelton Benjamin. Five of these six guys (excluding Kane) were holding down the Raw upper mid-card for the better part of the year, putting on excellent matches. They brought their A-game to the match, and the added excitement of this new gimmick was a welcome change. Edge and Christian got to go back and do some classic tag team moves with the ladder, Shelton Benjamin had an awesome spot where he ran off an inclined ladder to clothesline Chris Jericho, and Benoit hit a diving headbutt off the top of the ladder. The finish of Edge just barely stopping Benoit from getting the briefcase was exciting, and Edge winning the briefcase was the start of a push that would ultimately land him in the Hall of Fame.
