Paying off a cute build-up, this was so good it was capital G Great. But how the f*ck did they do it?!

One of the few Champion Vs Champion Brand Warfare matches that had more than a match graphic, different coloured t-shirts and a few tweets going for it, the battle between doubles titleholders The Street Profits and The New Day took place through Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford's gentle mocking of an isolated Big E on the blue brand.

With The New Day divided, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were forced to exchange rotten scripted volleys with the...jesus f*cking christ..."Jerk" Business as their weekly task. This was a welcome break from a bit of a slump.

Fired all the way up, Dawkins and Ford's magnetic energy contributed to some sensational chemistry between the pairs that smartly returned the The New Day to roles as cocky veteran heels for the bulk of a brilliant battle.

A hot tag after a heat sequence briefly felt real in spite of the ThunderDome's pop.wav button going into overdrive, such was the quality of everything. A Profits late flurry of offence was sublime before Ford kicked out of the Midnight Hour and proved the SmackDown champions right about Big E's pointed absence. Nothing held them back in the aftermath - Xavier Woods getting flattened with a tag team blockbuster was the correct and excellently executed conclusion.
