10 Best Matt Hardy Matches

2. Vs. Jeff Hardy (TNA Final Deletion)

In many ways Matt Hardy's career masterpiece, 'Final Deletion' represented a remarkable vindication for a life dedicated to producing the pro wrestling he fiercely believed in - even when few others did.

Few picked up on Hardy's "Broken Brilliance" when he first appeared on Impact Wrestling with a Seth Rollins streak and a Bruiser Brody perm, but Hardy's madness quickly became a weekly highlight on a moribund show.

His short film-come-compound brawl with brother Jeff was effectively a better produced version of what they'd been doing since childhood. Employing psychology that existed mostly in their own heads whilst fighting in their (admittedly, much larger) back garden, the madness of The Hardy Boyz finally found a home outside of their own home.

It was - by some margin - Impact's most watched episode of 2016 and transferred a relatively niche buzz around the gimmick into the industry's hottest topic. Initially derided by a minority of the audience, the continued craziness exhibited by Matt and his now-"deleted" 'Brother Nero' forced its way into the hearts of all - and forced The Hardy Boyz to become part of most wrestling discussions years after they were written out and off.
