6. NWO vs. The Rock And Stone Cold

One of the topics wrestling fans love discussing most is “dream matches”. These could be matches that have a possibility of happening, but also much speculation goes into matches that could have been. To this day, one of the unfulfilled dream pairings in the ring for legions of grappling enthusiasts is Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Arguably the two biggest names in the history of Professional Wrestling in ANY era, Stone Cold and The Hulkster crossed paths many a time, but never hit a collision course in the squared circle. However, the two legends did share a ring, and even locked up for less than 30 seconds, during a handicap tag team match when The NWO vs. The Rock and Austin Main Evented the RAW before WrestleMania 18.

While not the matchup that fans were hoping for, it still remains the only time these two have ever gone at it in the ring, and serves as a “what if” for a feud that was never able to get off the ground. The fact that this happened so early into Hulk coming back to the WWE was a testament to just how much potential his return held for the company.
