10 Best Money In The Bank Cash-Ins Ever
7. Randy Orton
The main event of Money in the Bank 2013 wasn't just any Money in the Bank match - it was a star-studded affair open only to former world champions. Stale babyface Randy Orton, much to fans' chagrin, would end up claiming the WWE Championship contract, edging out popular stars Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, the returning Rob Van Dam, Sheamus, and Christian.
The following evening on Raw, though, WWE Champion John Cena was given the opportunity to select his SummerSlam opponent, and he picked Bryan, setting up a dream match for the summer spectacular. Prior to the Pay-Per-View, Vince McMahon expressed dissatisfaction with Bryan as the number one contender (as well as with Cena as champion), but he found an ardent defender in Triple H. The WWE COO stood up to his father-in-law and appointed himself guest referee of the SummerSlam main event, just to avoid any controversy.
The match itself was one of the best of the year, with Bryan proving he could hang in a main event and Cena proving he could be just as innovative and effective as Bryan. Bryan debuted his running knee finisher, nailing the champ between the eyes and pinning him to win the title.
As Bryan celebrated, Randy Orton came down to the ring with his briefcase. Orton seemed to change his mind as the new WWE Champion stared at him from the ring, but suddenly, Triple H kicked Bryan in the gut and drilled him with a Pedigree! HHH called Orton into the ring and "The Viper" pinned Bryan, winning the title and forming The Authority.
