10 Best nWo Moments

10. Bischoff Takes The Stage

Before going with the old “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” attitude, Eric Bischoff was not a fan of the nWo. At The Great American Bash 96, he was set to interview them before their big match the following month at Bash at the Beach. The Outsiders wanted to know who their opponents were, which seemed like a reasonable request.

They vowed that no matter who it was, whether it was the “Nacho Man” or “The Huckster” they were going to “carve them up.” When Bischoff told them they’d have to wait to find out until Nitro who they’d be facing, they turned violent.

Hall punched that Ken doll look-a-like in the stomach, and Nash followed it up with a Jackknife Powerbomb through the stage. The crowd and the announcers were stunned, unable to comprehend what they were watching. That early attack remains one of the best ones they ever dished out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
