10 Best nWo Moments

9. Hall, Nash And Hogan Come Home

In 2002, WCW had gone out of business, and the three man that started the nWo found themselves without a job. News of Kevin Nash coming back made the rounds, and then unbelievably, Hall and Hogan were rumored to come back with him. It turned out to all be true, as Vince McMahon announced his plans on SmackDown to unleash a lethal dose of poison his own company now that Ric Flair controlled half of it.

At the No Way Out pay-per-view, the three superstars first made famous in the WWF came back. It was a surreal site, even moreseo to see them in their WCW gimmick. As soon as that beautiful porno like entrance them played, the crowd lost it. The company even added a nice little touch by making the entire screen black and white.

In the ring, the promo was a bit hit or miss. They kept saying they all wanted a second chance, to set up a swerve, but it didn’t quite have the bite we’d grown to expect from them. Still, it was was a great moment, as Hogan looked genuinely touched to be back, and at the time it seemed it had the potential to set up years of great stories.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
