10 Best One-Liners From WWE Raw This Week (Aug 8)

This week, the feud between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor took an unexpected turn, as we were given a lesson in onomastics and the origin of Balor’s ring name.

And while it was somewhat hypocritical of Seth to call out Balor for using a made-up name, his promo did provide us with an absolute gem of a possible alter ego.

Seth suggested that Finn Balor was such a ridiculous moniker that he might as well go around referring to himself as Seth “Rambo Apocalypse” Rollins. Which, as far as wrestling personas go, is so abundantly over-the-top that he just might be able to pull it off.

Still, as cool as the potential nickname was, I couldn’t help but feel that this segment didn’t make a lot of sense. Why was Rollins calling out Balor for his ring-name, when just about everyone else in the locker room is competing under a made-up alias as well?

In terms of the actual feud itself, I’m not sure how captivated I am by this story they’re going with. Either that or it’s just not as compelling as the offering from the SmackDown title feud. But then again, if it means we might one day see Rambo Apocalypse, I guess I'm all in favour of this latest direction.
