After the intensity of Finn Balor’s history lesson on Irish
mythology, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson—sorry, Dr Gallows and Dr
Anderson—brought us back down to earth on a more comedic note with their very professional
announcement of “a possible epidemic facing tag teams on Monday Night Raw.”
They identified the condition as ringpostitis; a debilitating illness with no known cure, causing possible nausea and severe pain, and the source of Big E’s injury woes.
The duo then launched into a torrent of genital-related puns that would have done Becky Lynch proud, the highlight of which came when Gallows announced that all this ringpostitis business was making him a little testy.
Corny puns aside, though, this was a really neat segment that allowed the two remaining members of the Club to really be themselves and ham up the humour in building their rivalry with the New Day.
When given a platform on which to speak, these two are total naturals—especially when bouncing off one another—as this light-hearted promo perfectly demonstrated.
