10 Best Opponents For John Cena At WWE WrestleMania 33

9. Braun Strowman

Okay, so the word "best" here is perhaps not from the standpoint of what hardcore fans want. Because Braun Strowman vs. John Cena would have a high probability of being a terrible match. But don't think that this hasn't at least crossed Vince McMahon's mind.

What would make this a "best" is the sense that if WWE really wants to get Strowman over, then putting him against Cena in a Mania match might not be a bad way to go. If the company just can't find an obvious opponent for their living legend due to all the other top names having more of a natural storyline with each other, then Strowman could be used to make Super Cena look Super once again.

If anything, Strowman/Cena would likely resemble Rusev/Cena WrestleMania 31, in that we all knew Rusev was going to do the job, but just having him in the ring with Cena was going to theoretically make him a bigger deal. Or, perhaps by the time that Mania comes around, Vince will want to give up on his newest monster and just get as much out of him as he can by putting him in one big match.

Sure, something like Cesaro/Cena would be much better, but something like that just isn't going to effectively built up in time for it to mean anything. Strowman has been pushed as so dominant on Raw that he's one of the few people on the show that actually stands out.

You can imagine Stephanie may offer up this inter-promotional match to Shane in the coming months; one she feels she can't lose.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
