10 Best Options To Be WWE's Next Top Guy

8. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has had quite the glow-up (as the kids these days would call it). After getting a huge push in 2009 and being positioned as a top guy, McIntyre sputtered and wound up as a comedy enhancement talent.

Years later, all of that has been swept under the rug. Now the muscle for Dolph Ziggler, McIntyre has been the most pushed and protected member of the RAW roster over the last six months. Many, including Dave Meltzer, have alluded to the similarities between the Shawn Michaels/Diesel relationship and the Ziggler/McIntyre, with Meltzer claiming that WWE plan to eventually push McIntyre as a singles talent the way they pushed Kevin Nash.

From a physical standpoint, McIntyre doesn't need to convince McMahon to push him. At six foot five, 265 pounds, and long, flowing hair, he's basically a Scottish Roman Reigns. From a in-ring standpoint, he has decent to great matches. And he has no problem cutting a good promo.

The obstacles I see for Drew McIntyre boil down to the fans. While right now, they like him as this bad*ss bodyguard for Dolph Ziggler, how they would perceive him as a top singles star remains to be seen. Would fans really get behind him in that role, or would they just resent his looks-based push like they did for Roman Reigns?

Ultimately however, regardless of those hypotheticals, it's safe to say McIntyre is one of the front-runners at the moment to take up that Top Guy slot.
