10 Best Pipebombs In Wrestling History
1. CM Punk - 27 June 2011
No matter how good you think MJF's pipe bomb was - whether it was a shoot, work, or somewhere in the middle - it still pales in comparison to CM Punk's WWE pipe bomb. 27 June 2011 not only changed the career trajectory of Punk, but arguably the entire wrestling world as a whole.
Following a John Cena match, Chick Magnet Punk took the stage, sitting cross-legged, donning a Stone Cold Steve Austin shirt after ditching his Nexus gear. Starting off as a simple promo to hype their upcoming WWE Championship match at Money in the Bank, The Straight Edge Savior quickly went for the jugular of not only Cena, but the entire WWE. Airing his frustrations about 'Dwayne' being given the main event of WrestleMania, and not being featured at all by the company for not kissing Vince McMahon's ass, was only the beginning.
He then turned his attention to his real opposition, the WWE fans. Chastising them for cheering him on despite selling his autographs on eBay, and how they will still support WWE whether he is there or not. He finally tore into Vince McMahon and the entire McMahon family, calling Triple H and Stephanie McMahon a doofus and an idiot. Just as Punk was about to tell a story about the WWE Be A Star campaign, his microphone was cut off.
In just over five minutes, with nothing more than a microphone, CM Punk drastically changed the wrestling world for the better, dropping the best pipe bomb in wrestling history.
