8. Triple H - 25 July 1999

Going back to 1996 and the infamous Curtain Call, Triple H found himself the only one punished for that highly controversial moment as Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were leaving WWE, and Shawn Michaels was untouchable as WWE Champion. Three years later, Triple H had managed to rise to the top of the company despite his setbacks, never having publicly talked about his punishment. That would change on Sunday Night Heat, the pre-show before Fully Loaded 1999.

During an interview was Jim Ross, Hunter let all of his frustrations hang out, going after both Vince McMahon and the entire WWE system for holding him back. Starting out normally enough, Triple H was hyping up his SummerSlam match for the WWE Championship, saying that he did not need The Kliq, DX, or anyone to win the title. Less then a minute in, you can see the expression on Helmsley's face change as he began to cut loose, mentioning he was the only one punished that night at Madison Square Garden and having to crawl his way back to the top.

Telling JR he was going to shoot a little, he evoked the names of Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels, and blamed corporate WWE for holding him back. Using the trademark intensity fans loved from Triple H, he stamped the interview with "I am the f**king Game" - with this promo becoming the catalyst for Hunter's ascension to the top of WWE.
